The Starting Lineup!
At 6th Man Movers we pride ourselves on our team. We have fostered a company culture that is positive, fast paced, and fun. Our movers are our most valuable asset, and we strive to take care of them so that they take care of you.
We have artists, veterans, musicians, athletes, and all around great guys who are full of personality. The entire team is fully trained and highly skilled at moving, but we know lugging furniture around is probably not these guys’ ultimate goal in life. We hope to foster them personally and financially as they grow towards those life goals. Or make working for 6th Man so awesome that they stick with us forever!
Charlie South is our rock star. His attitude is always on point. His positive outlook and smile is contagious. As a founding member of this organization, Charlie pushes our growing company to be better each day. If you are lucky enough to work with him, you will be lucky enough to be his friend too. Moving can be long and rigorous work, but you wouldn’t know if you were to ask him when working on your job site. As a natural learner, Charlie takes on the daily challenges in the moving industry with open arms. Outside of work, he can play a mean guitar and has the voice of an angel, so be and sure to ask him where you can catch his next gig – believe it, he’s got one booked!
Much like his favorite super hero, Damion is referred to as “Super Man” by most of his coworkers. Although he may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound or run faster than a speeding bullet, but this guy sure knows how to help people in their time of need. Damion likes to spend is down town running point guard on the company basketball team and taking care of his toddler. (who by the way, is one of the cutest kids in all of Nashville – Look out Gerber and baby Gap!) They say good things come in small packages, and this guy is definitely a testament to those words. A big misconception in the moving industry is that the big guys make the best movers – Not true. So much more is required of a great mover and Damion has all it takes. Strength and Endurance are just two words that come to mind when speaking of “D”, but the overall positive outlook this man brings to the table is what let’s us know he is destined for great things in this life!
John is from Columbus, Ohio but has lived here in the Nashville area for the last five years. He feels very passionately about everything he does, whether it is leading a crew during a move or leading the youth toward spiritual growth. John has ambitions to finish writing a book, go back to college, and become a spiritual motivational speaker. He enjoys fishing, bowling, pool, swimming, racing, exploring, cooking, hiking, building, spending time with his two sons.
Sam is one of our “Weekend Warriors”, and we are blessed to have him on the team. He spends his week studying Engineering and is so close to achieving that degree he can taste it. And speaking of taste, this dude can cook! That’s right, a mover – who can cook. Honestly, it is one of his favorite things to do when he is not hittin’ the books or picking up your precious belongings. You might catch Sam out on the town, as he is a big live music fan. He’s also one heck of an artist. Experienced as they come, Sam makes a huge impact on our culture at 6th Man, as there is no task he can’t tackle.
Ronnie is an amazing fellow. If you get an opportunity to meet him, you quickly find out why! In his 4 years in the moving industry, his knowledge has grown immensely. As you will come to know (because he will definitely tell you), Ronnie loves spending time being a father and care taker of his family. Ronnie is also a huge fan of music that moves you! He leads the music program at his church on Sundays, and his love for funk music may rival George Clinton.
