Happy almost Memorial Day weekend!!!
It’s almost the weekend, and I don’t know about you guys, but we are ready! Monday is memorial day and we will be closed for business. If you haven’t made plans yet, 6th Man can offer a few suggestions of things to do around town. Let’s start with our FREE event this weekend, Musicians Corner. If you have been following us on social media, you know that we are proud sponsors of this weekly free concert series in Centennial Park . This weekend, only the Saturday afternoon concert is taking place; Friday acoustic nights will return in June. As usual, we will have a tent set up and everyone is encouraged to stop by and play our famous basketball game for a chance to win some sweet prizes.
Next up, is a shout out to our pals at Adventure Science Center. Saturday opens their newest exhibit, Wolf to Woof: the Story of Dogs. It runs from 10:00am – 3:00pm with entry between $10.95-14.95. We helped the Science Center build this exhibit earlier in the week and it was a really fun project!
Also on our list is the monthly Flea Market held at the Nashville Fairgrounds. The flea market runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can find ANYTHING there. Jewelry, vinyl records, clothing, tools, furniture, you name it! Every price is negotiable. and you can call us to deliver any large items you might purchase. Parking costs $5 within the Fairgrounds.
Local Tip: Save the cash and take a lovely stroll down Wedgwood. Street parking outside of the grounds is FREE!
If you don’t already have plans to grill out or head to the lake Monday, we recommend heading downtown and visiting our friends at Acme Feed & Seed where the Hard Working Americans Block Party is being held. This event is free and family friendly.
