Operations Manager

Job Description

Operations Manager position is a Coach calling the plays for daily moving teams throughout the day with the overall goal of maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction

– This individual must be a natural born leader with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment of monitoring (via phone, GPS, and internal systems) and supporting the multiple moving teams. Being able to remain cool under pressure and not cave in under the stress of re-shuffling the plays with men calling off, customer issues, or planning for the next day is a necessity.

Dispatching and creating routing assignments are key aspects of this role and prior experience is required; preferably in the moving industry. Proven problem solver and ability to motivate teams are essential in making this role a success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise employee schedules

• Manage day-to-day operations

• Administer inventory management of company assets in storage; moving/packing supplies

• Conduct confirmation calls for upcoming scheduled service dates

• Execute and resolve customer service issues

• Oversee fleet reporting and management

• Coordinate quality and assurance protocols (daily) including calls, spot checks

• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Top-notch organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrated ability in problem solving, decision-making and people/process management

• Strong quick decision making ability, exercise good judgment, and quick learner

• Must be proficient with computers

• Must be able to work weekends
